Transport system in both urban geography and national geography is one o0f the most important economical infrastructural and for a country like Iran with special geopolitical position, national scale of a proficient transport system is vital. In cities because of problems concerning to urban environmental, air pollution, traffic and importance of economy for city, urban transportation system has a special role and goes more and more important every day
Transportation system in national and urban scale in addition to the economical effects and political effects has it’s own social and cultural effects. An inefficient transportation system is a big obstacle on the way of national economical safety and each independent country for society management needs a great transportation system in both national and international view
One of the best actions which helps traffic problem in metropolitans, is development of public transportation system. For example, subway is very important to solve traffic and air pollution in many cities. High safety, passengers relaxation, energy consumption reduction, suitable speed low rate of passenger transport in comparison with car are the advantages of urban trains. The importance of urban railway development in Iran and it’s role to increase quantity and quality of urban development is a necessity that is municipalities responsibility and according to this issue city bank of Iran as municipalities bank should run this subject and it is leaded to make infrastructures in this field by using experiences and practical ideas of experts in this field
In according with defined mission by city bank of Iran to enter railway equipment procurement , fundament al steps has been dene below.

CPEG with city bank of Iran support has made a consortium of building contract and equipment whit have been certificate by employer with high financial power to buy properties and supply percentage of project source could present an appropriate financial model for aforementioned project and control the project.
Alarm and fire suppression system
CPEG has signed an agreement with Chinese company TONG FANG that is gaseous alarm fire suppression equipment in lines 1.2.3 of Tehran subway. This company is ready to supply gaseous alarm and fire suppression for line 1 of Tabriz subway with CPEG partnership.
Ongoing Projects in Railway Department of City Petro Energy Group Company
- The project of equipment supplement for 6th Tehran Metro Line in the form of financing, designing, procurement, carrying and installation and training by EPC&F Model
- Information and specifications of “6th Tehran Metro Line project”
The length of 6th Tehran Metro Line is about 31 km with 27 stations. This line starts from Dolat Abaad in southeastern of Tehran in Toseka park area and passes Azadegan highway. Passing Kianshahr area and Besaat Highway, it goes to 17 Shahrivar Street. Going to the north of Tehran and passing Shoosh Avenue, Khorasan square, Shahid Aiat Allah Mahallati and Shohada Square, it arrives to Imam Hossein Square
After Imam Hossein Station, this line goes to Sepah square along Khaje Nasir avenue. Passing Dr. Shariaati Avenue and Bahar Shiraz Street, this line arrives to Haft-e-Tir Square. Furthermore, going to Lale Park along Karim khan Street to Vali-e-Asr Square and Keshavarz Boulevard, this Metro line changes the direction to the North and goes to Karger-e-Shomali Avenue
Passing the crossing of Kargar Avenue and Dr. Fatemi Street and Jalal Al-e-Ahmad Boulevard, this line goes to Nasr Bridge (Gisha). After Shahid Dr. Chamran Highway, arriving Shahrak-e-Azmaiesh Bridge, this line passes Yadegar Imam Highway, Shahid Aiat Allah Ashrafi Isfahani Highway, Shahid Aiat Allah Hakim Highway, Shahid Sattari highway, Aiat Allah Kashani highway and Shahid Hemmat Highway. Then this line ends to Shahrak Kan and Soloqan area in Northwestern of Tehran
In addition, this line has 1 depot in the south of 6th Tehran Metro Line, 3 posts of HVS about 63/20 kv along the line with a parking at the end of northern line
The width of all Station is about 14 meters and The length of all platforms is approximately 140 meters and The width of all platforms is about 4 meters. The average of interval between every 2 stations is approximately 1100 meters

The progress report of 6th Tehran Metro Line
The aim of the 6th Tehran Metro Line project is “Financing, designing, procurement, carrying, installation, training and supplement of spare parts and special measurement and tools for electrification applications and SCAD, Signs, Traffic Control, Telecommunication systems and automatic fare collection (AFC), ventilation and BAS, FAS and FES systems, elevators and escalators, parking, depot and workshops for 6th Tehran Metro Line. Furthermore, the length of 6th Tehran Metro Line is about 31 km with 27 stations”.
The total cost which has been estimated for this project is 13,300 billion Rails. In 1995, a tender about giving the project to investors and qualified contractors was done. Therefore, the project was given to the consortium which is included by Mapna Group, Sabir international and City Petro Energy Group Company, as the representative of bank shahr to be done by the Model of EPC&F. City Petro Energy Group Company has the role of financer and project leader of consortium.
In addition, doing a wide range of meetings with Mapna Group, Sabir international and Tehran Urban and Suburban Railway Operation Company, a wide array of legal and registered agreements and transactions and other correspondence was set. Not only this, a guideline and strategic document was set and written. The responsibilities and functions of every entity and member of this consortium has been clarified in that “guideline and strategic document”.
